Direct Line pet insurance covers up to £6,000 in vet fees per condition with their Advanced policy and up to £4,000 per condition for 12-month with their Essential policy. Cover starts from £6 a month for cats and £8 a month for dogs.

- advertising and reward: up to £1,000 towards advertising should your pet get lost or stray and £200 for any reward

- boarding fees: up to £1,000 towards kennel and cattery fees if you have to go into hospital for more than 4 days

2. Third party liability cover: up to £2,000,000 for dog policies only
