Petguard offers 2 types of cover

With Petguard pet insurance, there are two types of cover available: 12-month limited and lifetime. With a 12-month policy, you can claim for vet fees up to the maximum amount for a maximum of 12 months for each unrelated condition. Afterwards, the condition is no longer covered as it becomes excluded.

Therefore, if you’re looking for long-term protection that covers ongoing conditions year on year, Petguard also offers lifetime pet insurance. With such a cover, conditions are never excluded as long as you stay with them and renew your policy. Note that pre-existing conditions are excluded.

How to make sure you buy lifetime cover from Petguard?

Petguard offers a flexible pet insurance quote system where you can tailor your policy to your needs. However, if you’re looking for a lifetime policy, you need to make sure you select the right options. Follow these simples steps:

• Go to www.petguard.co.uk
• Start your quote process by clicking ‘get a quote’ on the right hand side
• Once you’re on “Policy Options“:
  • Select the amount of vet fees you need: £1,000, £3,000, £6,000 or £7,500
  • Select “No” to the “12 month cover limit” question. This will make sure you get lifetime cover. If you stick to “Yes”, which is the default option, you will only get a 12-month cover.
  • Carry on with the process until the end.
