Petplan remains the number 1 pet insurance in the UK with 40.2% market share according to the latest industry reports.

Petplan has been established since 1976 and provides cover for dogs, cats, rabbits and horses but also small mammals, birds and reptile via subsidiary Exotic Direct.

Petplan benefits from a strong veterinary support with practices authorised to recommend Petplan to consumers and earning commission in doing so. Petplan also managed to create strong tie-ups with dog and cat breeders in the UK. Petplan offers breeders’ customers a 6 weeks free pet insurance policy.
