Lifetime pet insurance: VetsMedicover covers up to £10,000 in veterinary fees in case your pet suffers from an accident or develops an illness. This amount is per year, regardless of the number of conditions you may be claiming for. When you renew, you’ll get another £10,000 and conditions will be covered year after year with no exclusions once you start claiming.

Complementary therapies: if your vet recommends it, you can take your pet for hydrotherapy, acupuncture, physiotherapy and behavioural treatments up to your vet fees allowance of £10,000 each year.

Age eligibility: cats and dogs can be insured from just 8 weeks old and up to 7 years and 9 months.

Dental treatment: as long as your pet gets an annual teeth check by your vet, you’re covered for dental treatments.

Waiting period: beware, there’s a 30 day waiting period on this policy. This means that accidents are covered immediately but illnesses will only be covered 30 days after the inception of the policy.
